Beth Ann, I would agree that the UR shoes are generous in construction. I have tried a few different styles, and they were always a bit too big for me, but not in ways that would be solved by getting a smaller size. They also seem to look a little larger-scale than is apparent online, if you like a chunkier-looking shoe.

Definitely try them on in-store if you can. If your feet really like them, you might not have to do much convincing of yourself to go with fewer, more-expensive shoes. I just look at it as saying that brand X of shoes is approximately worth two (or three) pairs of the usual shoes I buy, so I should expect to have only half as many shoes (or a third as many) added to my closet this year.

Thanks, Gigi! The line looked fairly generous in width and volulme, although I didn't try any on (DD was "ready to go," IYKWIM).

Jen: I will report back if I purchase pair!

Viva: The retro feminine look might be perfect for this season!

I can actually try them in a store, which is great. My only hesitation is price. I have cheap feet. I can go into Payless or Target and wear every. single. pair. So it's hard to save up my pennies and reconcile myself to fewer pairs of shoes in the closet. Of course, cheap shoes often have no padding or support, and the materials don't breathe. My feet are needing a little more TLC these days! The question is: How do I move into better quality shoes without breaking the bank?

Those are both really cute shoes. I would wear them -- and I love the heel height on the red: perfect. Gigi's comments make them worth a try, I think!

I've tried this brand via online ordering and found them to be insanely comfortable. I think they ran TTS. I had to return the pairs I had ordered because the booties were too big for my legs and there was a bad gap. But I lamented having to return them because they were so comfy. They seemed well made too.

I was doing reconnaissance shopping at the mall today with my DD, and spied these red suede beauties at The Walking Company. It also comes in black:
http://www.thewalkingcompany.c.....-red/42596

I also liked these black booties with perforated design:
http://www.thewalkingcompany.c.....lack/36722

Has anyone tried this brand?
