I was working less than 5 miles away from Woodlawn high school in 1999, and paying reasonable attention to local news, and I don't remember anything of this case, even though it sounds like something that Nancy Grace would jump all over these days. </p> <p>So Jules, I'd have to say that Serial would be of interest to anyone who enjoyed GG, but maybe just as much for the contrast between the novel and the real-world case, as for the parallels. A big part of GG was the media circus aspect, which I don't think really existed for the Serial case. Helpful tip: the full season fits quite nicely in the drive from Chattanooga, TN to the Texas/Louisiana line. </p> <p>I found it thoroughly engaging.
