I think that boot style looks cheap. just saying because it seems like all those cheap pleather boots/knock offs with cheap heel styles. I think maybe its a style preference but still looks cheap even it its steve maddens.

Puffenstuf, I have 15.25" calves. I have the Intyce boots and find they fit well over jeggings and and skinnies in the last notch. Here's a pic of me in them. I'm wearing always skinny cords. I usually wear an 8 1/2, but I bought a 9 to have room for thick socks in the winter. They are a little long on me, but it works fine, I like my boots roomy.

ETA: Oops sorry for the furry dog in the way, but you can see they are fitted on my calves. They are not too tight though, I assure you. They look kind of scrunchy on my ankles...I have really skinny ankles.

Modgrl thanks for the detailed reply! With the buckle done on the last hole was there any room for leggings/jeans on you?

Amyreh have you got yours yet and if you dont mind me asking how wide your calves are? I would love to see some pics of them on you!

I just ordered these from Nordstrom and I can't wait to get them! I was unsure about sizing, so I went into the store to see what they had I could try on. I was thinking I would need an 8.5 since I usually wear an 8, but the 8.5 was much too big on me. The 8's are on their way and I am hoping they fit, and that the 8.5 being too big wasn't just a fluke. But I did love the way the boots looked, I have larger calves as well and feel these will be a great casual boot! I love that there is a little wedge to them : )

I remembered seeing this thread a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to follow up on it.

I saw these boots in the shoe store today. I thought the pictures of them looked somewhat dated, so I was surprised at how nice they looked in person. In fact, the leather is very high quality. This is what made me notice them in the store. They really looked more expensive than the other boots on nearby shelves. They were on clearance so I decided to try them on.

I am 5' tall and have 15" calves. They came up about an inch or two below my knees, a nice lengthening height for me. I was afraid that they would come right to my knee. That always looks kind of awkward, but that was not the case with these boots. I had to unbuckle them to get them over my calves. This wasn't a problem, just an extra step. I could buckle them on the last hole and there was still room to poke another hole or two without having them look too tight.

The first thing I noticed was how small they fit. I normally wear a 5.5/6, but I had to size up to 6.5 with these. Even with the larger size my toes still felt somewhat constricted. The footbed was also hard as a rock with absolutely no padding. I would have to put in Dr. Scholl's insoles if I was going to wear them for more than 5 minutes.

They had a pleasing silhouette from the side. I could already imagine wearing these with skinny's or skirts. But when I turned to face forward, I noticed that the buckle area didn't lay flat because of my 15" calves. This made my calves look even bigger than they are. Unfortunately that was a deal breaker for me.

Good luck in your quest for boots! I am still looking!

I have these boots and they're fantastic! I can easily wear them all day and I wear them with jeans and skirts/dresses. I'm 5'3" and they do come up pretty high, but they look good with skirts that show my knees. I recommend them.

Karen, the boots have no padding and I tried to fit an insole inside but it didn't work -- I probably bought insoles that were too wide. The inside of the boot is fairly narrow so you need a narrow insole. That said, I also think my feet are a bit too wide for the boots. I don't have wide feet technically, but they are on the chubby side! So that's probably why they weren't ideal for me.

(I got mine at Last Chance so I kept them be cause they were cheap and I can wear them occasionally when I won't be walking a lot! And they're pretty!)

Puffenstuff, I just got the Intyce boots. I haven't worn them for more than just trying them on yet, so I can't speak to whether they are comfy for longer wear or not. They seem pretty comfy, but there's not a lot of support in the foot bed. They are sleek looking. I am 5'6" and they are TALL on me. I have fairly long legs and they come to right under my knee. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep them or not. The thin wedge heel makes them impractical anything other than "non-kid" activities.

Thanks Marianna! Bit dissapointing to hear they hurt your feet, I normally dont do a heap of walking in boots so maybe with a foot bed in they might be ok?

Stephanie I love Kendi's blog, I think that's where I first saw these boots actually and promptly fell in love with them.

I don't have any experience with them myself, but Kendi Everyday has these boots and raves about them. I think she said she has had them for 3 winters. You can see a lot of pictures of her wearing them on her blog (kendieveryday.blogspot.com).

I have the grey ones but they really hurt my feet after about 3-4 hours. But... I know a lot of people who LOVE them. A lot of the women I work with wear the Intyce boot and they are on their feet for 8 hours/day. My calves are also about 15 or 16 inches and they fit me well. I am taller than you, though.

I am still on my boot hunt! Shopping internationally means I have to be 100% certain of what I'm getting and I have really fallen in love with this boot. I was recently reading that it may suit bigger calves, I have a 15" calf and I am about 5'1" so I am also curious about what height this would come up on my leg? I'm thinking of either the grey or the cognac colors.
