Mine are both a 6.5. The Pettys are a touch longer in the footbed, I think. The width is pretty consistent -- just wide enough for my foot, which is not narrow but also not wide. I don't wear thick socks with my Pettys -- only thinner wool dress socks. Note that 6.5 is the smaller of my two sizes; I wear a 7 in some brands occasionally. And even in another Sam Edelman shoe (Sutton sandal) I have a 7. Generally between 5.5-6.</p> <p>I have the Okala's in size 6, since that accommodates the width of my foot. The 5.5 was too tight around the widest part of my foot.</p> <p>I have the Petty's in size 5.5, since I felt the size 6 made my feet look too long. That said, the size 5.5 for the Petty's are somewhat snug and accommodate only a thin sock.</p> <p>I don't know if that tells you much, but I figure any data points will help you to make your decision.
