It's too cute and which color are you interested in, because the cream does not look too sheer. In fact, I like the contrast, especially when watching the runway video. Do you have a reasonable dry cleaners in town that does alterations or tailoring and could do something for you, in case, you did need to add some extra layering? The price is definitely great.
