I haven't excluded short sleeves, but you will find a whole lotta elbow/3/4 sleeve tops in my wardrobe.

Brenda: I'm planning on using my sewing machine to fine-tune the lengths of some of my knits. Some tops will go sleeveless (which is still OK with me), some will go just below the elbow. It's very challenging to do with cuffed shirts, but knits are easy.

Oh --- and I have a thing about my elbows. I think they're ugly, so my length is just below!

I don't have any elbow-length tees. Mine are full (long) sleeve, regular, cap, or sleeveless. I have strong shoulders and arms and I like emphasizing them to a certain extent.

I am among the minority for whom elbow-length sleeves are actually the most unflattering sleeve length. They make my arms look shorter and thicker, and are worse even than clingy cap sleeves because of the added fabric bulk on my upper arms. I have a lovely top from Anthropologie that never gets worn because it has cuffed elbow-length sleeves; it's in my tailoring pile to chop the sleeves to a normal length.

I have lots of tees elbow sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, sleeveless and regular sleeve - I don't like cap sleeve for myself and regular sleeves are more for very casual wear for me lately. So I guess I feel like the elbow length or 3/4 are a bit more polished -- at least they make me feel more polished when I wear them.

I wear them all of the time. My favorites are from Eddie Bauer. They fit me well and wash beautifully. http://www.eddiebauer.com/cata.....hInfo=null

I'm with Day Vies, cap or 3/4 length. I feel frumpy and dumpy in regular short sleeves. In my case, it may be because I'm short-waisted. It's like my waist and shoulders are one.

I bought by first elbow length t-shirt last year and I love it!

However, I am on the other side. I have almost no shoulders. Sloping narrow little things I have tried to build up with weight training to no avail.

Thanks for the responses so far. I'm glad I'm not the only one. At least this would narrow my choices down when looking for tops. That can be a good thing.

Donna, thanks for the recommendation.

Yes and no. Having truck driver shoulders yet a protruding stomach I find the ones that end at or just past my elbow tend to emphasize my stomach. Love them on others though. I don't feel I can do sleeveless but love the look.

Nordstrom's Halogen line just started to offer in the past few months ballet neck elbow length tees for $26. They are quite substantial; I am going there today to compare the two blue colors. If I knew how to link [Would somebody send me instructions?] I would link to the page. They are carried in both regular and petite sizes and seem to be adding colors.

I tend to be at the smaller end of PS, but I hate how some knit PXS garments highlight my back fat and bra. In this tee, the PXS is just fine and not overly clingy since so thick.

Yes. For several years now. Either 3/4 length, long or to the elbow. Nothing above, unless it's sleeveless and the weather's humid.

I agree! Last summer I found some t-shirts that had elbow length sleeves, and I felt way better dressed in them than in regular tees. I prefer sleeveless or longer sleeves these days.

I didn't switch, but I definitely like the length. I'm wearing more elbow-length or sleeveless tops now than I did in the past. I don't like cap sleeves all that much.

I prefer sleeveless cap sleeves or 3/4 sleeves oh and flutter sleeves too. A plain t-shirt sleeve... not so much. I think I'm there with you.

I'm leaning in that direction. Every time I put on a regular short-sleeve t-shirt, I feel like a football player. My IT shoulders extend inches past my hips and don't really need extra attention. Somehow sleeveless tops work fine, but having the sleeve stop partway to the elbow just doesn't look that great.

I remember Angie saying some of her clients won't wear shirts with shorter than elbow-length sleeves, so I can't be the only one.

One issue might be finding good ones. I've found some at LLBean and J.Jill which might work ok as basic layering tees.

Thoughts?
