They were spendy so I didn't want to wait to after the sale so I stalked and got another pair which shipped.&nbsp; When I tried to call and cancel the original order, that they said they were cancelling, they then said no they were ready to ship but hadn't shipped yet.&nbsp; That I should just send them back.&nbsp; I was pretty irate and spoke with a manager, explained the situation and that I didn't not need another charge on my card for something that had not been picked up yet that they were too lazy too remove from the not shipped pile yet.&nbsp; Short story long, they did retrieve them and cancelled the order.&nbsp; But each year I manage to forget how annoying the shipping is, although I do appreciate the pre fall and the good value of the sale.&nbsp; But it's not a perfect system.<br />Angie - again thanks for the info.&nbsp; Glad Greg's sweater arrived and hope it's great.&nbsp; Just hoping that the items ship.&nbsp; Jacket looks really nice and very useful.&nbsp; A nice outdoor but still clearly functional practical jacket is a wardrobe hole so it would be very useful.&nbsp; If something arrives I will update.&nbsp; Fingers crossed!<br />Vintage Dawn - glad your items shipped.&nbsp; At least in transit shows activity.&nbsp; Hope you love all&nbsp; your items!<br />Sharan - I had the same thought, are they in the queue somewhere, from a place not needing them where pick ups are more sporadic.&nbsp; I really don't know.&nbsp; But I don't want to keep ordering and then find too many shipped.&nbsp; It's just a weird dice roll!!</p> <p> </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/anyone-else-stuck-in-preparing-to-ship#post-2331540 Fri, 21 Jul 2023 16:49:31 +0000 Firecracker (Sharan) 2331540@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Not exactly the same issue, but I called the local Nordie's to order a second pair of the loafers I'm debating (in a different size). They were in stock, supposedly at that store, and I was paying for them over the phone. I was told I would not be able to pick them up at that store, but at a different store in the area. I said, ok, then please ship them to me. That was three days ago, and I got an email yesterday saying they shipped. No estimate yet on when they will arrive. It's an East Coast and West Coast thing):&nbsp; </p> <ul> <li>items shipped directly from a store are here the fastest.</li> <li>Items shipped from Nordies distribution centres take a week.</li> <li>items shipped directly from the vendor take the longest. 2 weeks sometimes.</li> </ul> <p>I only JUST got a Vince pullover for Greg yesterday. Stuff coming from a store…not so much. A number of reasons for this. 1st it may take the store for time to find it, for all kinds of reasons. 2nd it may take the shipping company more time to come pick up the item, they may be restricted by the mall from picking up at certain hours and/or may not have enough space due to increased temporary demand. Last year I had an order go the same way, but eventually near the end of the sale I received it. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/anyone-else-stuck-in-preparing-to-ship#post-2331527 Fri, 21 Jul 2023 15:04:21 +0000 gryffin 2331527@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>One review and one question.&nbsp; I was able to order on 7/15.&nbsp; I ordered the Allsaints elora.&nbsp; I find allsaints does run small in jackets.&nbsp; I usually take a 2-4 and I bought the 6.&nbsp; I was concerned that the zips would be silver rather than black from the posted photos but it was indeed black on black.&nbsp; I own this jacket with the darkened nickel hardware and love it.&nbsp; I usually wear belts and a longer jacket gets concealed and gets uncomfortable if the buckle is substantial.&nbsp; This jacket ran bigger in the body and slightly more roomy than the one I own.&nbsp; It also had a bit of a chemical smell, which my other jacket did not have. Its a terrific well made, butter soft jacket.&nbsp; Wonderful with dresses, skirts, belts and high waisted styles.&nbsp; Not for those who carry weight in their arms.&nbsp; I have a small chest but this jacket is roomy enough through the body to fit most.&nbsp; OTOH the barbour constable was out of stock.&nbsp; I ordered a 4 and a 6 the next day.&nbsp; 36 hr later they cancelled the 4 (that was kinda long and annoying as other 4/s had popped back.&nbsp; So the 6 was ordered on 7/16 and the 4 on 7/18.&nbsp; I'm in the hold zone of preparing to ship.&nbsp; I did get a "we are having carrier issues" from nordstrom yesterday but not specific to an order.&nbsp; ITMW jackets pop back in size. I have no idea if the orders will come though.&nbsp; Is anyone else in the cue of preparing to ship or do you have more intell on the situation?&nbsp; The elora shipped super fast...so.. </p>
