Who knew all the hazards and pitfalls on buying a bra! Bonnie, thank you for the name of the one like as I’ve never heard of that one before. Will take a closer look. April, what a nightmare that was for you. I’m so sorry that happened and then to have to deal with a return. Yet, in the end, what you did, and I would do the same thing, is to write to the company and let them know specifically what went wrong because hopefully somebody’s listening down the road. It’s interesting how some companies respond and you feel heard and then others are silent and our feedback seems to go nowhere.

I returned mine as well. I ordered one band and cup size and got one larger in the band and smaller in the cup. What? My order plainly states what I requested, so I am left to believe they don't actually offer that size and subbed in something they do carry.

As you can imagine, the support was poor and I found that out by cutting the tag and wearing one all day, so I returned only the other bra. Yes, I told them why.

Chris987, I read your post with rapt attention and I completely get it and understand. I am short and short-waisted, as well and droopy, so you are right because there isn’t much territory or real estate left between the end of the breast and the waist and lift and support are essential. I wasn’t sure what you meant by the seam going across the bra was something that you needed, but then I looked at the Bali example and I see what you mean now. So sorry to hear that they no longer make this and I do hope you find exactly what you want. It seems like we’re always on a hunt for something and thank goodness for Angie and You Look Fab, because eventually we seem to find what we need. I think I’m going to give both companies mentioned above a try and see how it goes. Reading the Knix reviews on the bra I was looking at suggests sizing up. Thank you for your post.

I am reading with great interest as a 38g. The Nordstrom site says they run small, for what it's worth. I am certainly willing to try one. For science.

I just tried and returned two honeylove bras because of a very specific fit issue that may not apply to everyone.

My breast shape is what I call "droopy", with more mass below and less above. The shape has been with me my whole life, but the amount of droop has grown with age :-) I want bras to give me some lift (i.e. it pushes up) so that the sag is not so obvious. I'm extra sensitive to this proportionally because I'm so short and short waisted that there is not much distance between my boobs and waist, even with a bra that lifts well, and a bra that doesn't lift enough make me unhappy. I've had bra fittings where the bra fit well in a traditional sense but did not have enough lift. In general underwire bras with a seam across the front and a small amount of padding are best for this. Push-up bras do well too but I don't like all that extra padding. Most bras with one piece fronts (no seam) do not have the amount of lift I want. I have never had any comfort problem with underwires bras.

As I'm writing this and organizing my thoughts, I'm not sure why I even tried honeylove :-)

I tried the honeylove cloud embrace, which did not have enough lift.

I also tried the crossover it had the same issue. It also has a band around the bottom that's around an inch thick, that started curling up the minute I put on the bra.

photo 1: cloudembrace
photo 2: crossover

the find is an example of a bra with seams and light padding. Bali has stopped making this style and I'm in the middle of a very arduous search to find a replacement Sorry I don't have a find of this bra in a lighter color.

good luck!

Thank you for the link, Angie, and their Revolution V-neck bra looks pretty interesting and is a best seller so I have already zeroed in on that one to give it a try.

Pat P, this is excellent feedback and I really appreciate your post. Your details and experience are what I needed to add them to my shopping cart and order a bra from Honeylove. I had no idea that Nordstrom carried this brand so that’s even better if I want to go in person. Thank you!

Now, I’ve got two to try and compare. Who knows, I may love them both.

I own two of the Honeylove bras and like them very much. They are the first non-underwire bra that has worked for me. The Honeylove web site and FB page provides some detailed information about what breast shapes are most suitable for which bra styles, which you may find helpful. FYI, Nordstrom also carries the brand and sometimes has colors and sizes the Honeylove site is sold out of.

I've heard good things about Honeylove bras Vicki, but don't have personal experience with the brand.

You might want to check out KNIX bras too. I've suggested those to clients with success:

I must’ve watched one too many YouTube video commercials on Honeylove bras because they keep popping up now. But I am curious about the wire-free crossover that seems to be a favorite of many, although with my size, the basic colors I wear, nude and black, are not available. So to try one I would have to get a different style or a color I don’t prefer. I thought I would start here to get some feedback from my YLF friends. The older I get, the more comfortable I want my bra to be (even with the fabric used), but I do need support because I have saline implants from breast cancer surgery many years ago, and due to gravity support is needed. Sorry for the ridiculous screen grabs, but it’s the best I could do.
