I like that style of pump. I would wear them with A-line midi skirts. I had a similar style when I was younger. Maybe it was in the 70s.

I have the same shape shoe but in a dark, dusty purple. I have to say I've had a lot of trouble styling them, but after reading all the replies I realize I have been barking up the wrong tree. I had been trying to style them with jeans- which just wasn't working, but now I think I will try them with my simple shift dress, and also my liberty print midi skirt.....

How about nodding to "the roaring 20s" (ref. is made to info in your profile ), by styling them with a simple dress or a knee-length/midi skirt? Acessories could be a beret and a long pearl necklace.

Or you could wear them with culottes and high-neck pullovers.

Or with a trenchcoat and a plaid scarf.

Hosiery could be dressy or casual, anything from glittery gold to opaque or soft knit qualities in autumn colours.

Jenni, gold hose! I don't own any but I find this an interesting idea that I want to try. re: nude pumps: they usually look great with skirts and dresses because they continue the leg line. Have you tried yours with a black dress?
La Pedestrienne, I had the same thoughts as you initially about those shoes. And knowing your unbeatable sophistication in the art of androgyn-casual dressing, I can certainly relate. Then in the store I tried them on, went back and forth with different styles but kept coming back to those. Me too, I struggle with their "lady like" look. Right now I am afraid they were a mistake for this reason... but it's a feeling I've had in the past with a new shoe style which has often proved wrong in the end. That's why I have hope. I will post pics as soon as I find some outfit ideas.
Sal, thank you for pointing out they could also blend well with 70's silhouettes, I had not thought of that. I just tried them with a pair of knee-length culottes that look ike a skirt and I must say it's not my favorite look for me. But ankle pants and midi skirts... I think this might work better. To play with hoisery texture is also a good solution.

I like these and would wear with midi skirts and dresses- maybe coloured or fishnet hosiery. Or culottes or ankle pants. They could swing 30s or 40s or 70s retro in a good way!!

I've looked at this style (and others from this brand) numerous times, because they appear so comfortable. I think they might skew a bit too retro/ladylike for me to pull off, but I can't wait to see how you style them. I imagine they'll look great with any type of ankle-length trouser (jeans too), and for sure would be fun with dresses and skirts.

Indeed made to be seen! I thought ankle or cropped pants with bare leg showing ( or nude hose if cold, or even consider gold hose to match the straps? ).
I have a similar pair I bought to wear to Art Deco. Mine are nude and I've realised I don't reach for nude much, but am trying to give them love with cropped pants. I prefer there to be some nude colour in the print of the top I wear. I am a matchy-matchy nut case.
Those would also be great with skirts or dresses. Of course I want there to be colours in the outfit that match the shoes. They're so pretty, love them!

Very pretty. I think they’d be very versatile with ankle pants, skirts and dresses. Less suited to full length pants.

Hi, I need your help!

I got those pumps (https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/r.....en/4033856) in the very color shown below and I must say they are wonderfully comfy. But a mid-heel round toe maryjane shoe is not my usual footwear style. I am usually more of a tennis/ballerina wearer for flats or bootie/clog for height. However, I want to be wearing those, something about the fabrication maks them feel just right for my fussy foot.

Any styling ideas?
