I bought these LC Saras in January and have been wearing them at least 4 days a week since they arrived. They have been incredibly useful with this winter's cold and snowy weather, and they look great with dresses and pants alike. Ran true to size for me. Thanks for your help everyone. Big thumbs up.

I don't have this pair of LCs, but I do have a pair of riding boots. I will say that LC doesn't mess around...they mean serious business with their boots! The quality has been outstanding...they're even as warm as my snow boots. The leather is thick. I do believe that they will last for years. They are expensive but worth it IMO. I found them true to size as well.

I had to have the calf altered on mine because my calves are so small, and when I took them into the cobbler shop, the lady working practically swooned over them. She said that Canadian boots are generally very well made...she said they know what they're doing.

Very happy with my older La Canadienne booties. I have a similar pair to what you have posted( a completely different brand made in Florence, Italy). I love mine. Super comfortable and that wide elastic really makes it easy to walk. I hope they work for you. In my experience, La Canadienne runs true to size.

Good luck.

I agree on durability. I usually buy one new pair per New England winter but those darn old season square or square-round toed pairs are still in the closet because they won't wear out.

In general they skew towards looking practical and too wide and chunky heeled. You have to poke through all their choices to find ones that look more narrow and elegant.

All my La Canadienne boots have been real workhorses. They seem to last forever and fall out of style (suede square toes, I'm looking at you!) before they fall apart. They run TTS for me as well.

This one is gorgeous. I don't have it, but my two pair of La Canadienne boots ran TTS. I take a 6.5 or a 7 in North American sizes as a rule and got a 6.5 for their boots.

I don't have any LCs right now, but my best boots ever were LC. They were tall black classics--like those booties but tall. Comfortable and held up great in slush and snow (5 years I think). Alas, missing after our move to California...
Anyhow, my boots were very well made so I look favorably on the brand.

I have found the brand to run small in general. I would check Amazon or Zappos to see if there are any reviews you can read up on as 6pm doesn't have free return shipping.

I do they are waterproof and withstand weather well. Their sister brand, Blondos! does as well but at a lower price point.

This is such a basic black bootie but I am drawn to it for that reason. It's weatherproof and I feel like I can dress it up or down. It's not too feminine or too rough but I feel like it could be worn with tights, work trousers, or BF jeans. (I do have heeled black booties for real dressing up.)
Has anyone tried these one? Any thoughts before I order?
Many thanks.
http://www.6pm.com/la-canadien.....ck-leather
