This is a great question. A coworker recently showed me one of their catalogs and a few items caught my eye. The sweaters looked really warm!

I've ordered a few things over the years and the quality has always been top notch.
A slight caveat - the items don't always look the same in real life as they do in the illustrations. They're usually very nice, but may hang a little differently than you expect, and sometimes the colors can be slightly different IRL. Also, the sizing can be a little hard to judge since they're not the usual brands many of us know. I would suggest calling and asking for measurements. They have pretty good customer service. The other thing is, it can be a little difficult to return things. They sort of disappear into a black hole for a while (they don't seem to be as automated as the larger companies.) However, I've never had a problem - eventually the return gets credited, but it does take a while.
Given all of that, the items themselves are usually very good quality. I bought my husband a few shirts two years ago, and they're great. And I still have a classic "riding" blazer I bought over 20 years ago!

I did order. Years ago. I LOVED those pieces. I wore them to death. They were well made and quite stylish. I remember blue silk pants in particular as being fabulous. I bought them in black silk as well.

I didn't know they were still around. I used to love reading them, but admit I never ordered anything.

I haven't even seen one in years! I've been curious though. I thought that illustrations rather than photographs are a risky way to represent garments, so I always wondered if that affected customers' likelihood of ordering.

I can't even see the name without thinking of Seinfeld.

Of course, it contains a lot of hype with its chatty descriptions of items; and illustrations instead of photos.

I have been interested in several items that seem to be made of nicer fabrics--like silk twill or velvet or wool tweeds or other, and what could possibly be "elegant" fit (or more hype). But I have not pulled the trigger to order anything.
