One was a pair of Manolo Blahnik spike slings. Beautiful and incredibly flimsy...reminded me of the movie about him and his collection of rubbery shoes. A construction disaster, but people thought the models were being all avant grade walking funny. They were definitely just for standing in the lobby at intermission at the opera: someone had to bring the car round for me. Lol! Your boots look sturdier </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/any-advice-for-these-boots#post-2100037 Tue, 18 Feb 2020 21:15:31 +0000 Alyssa 2100037@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p><div>I stepped (pun intended LOL) out of my comfort zone a little last week.&nbsp; I was out shopping last Wednesday (the post is in What I Wore).&nbsp; I got the boots in the photograph.&nbsp; I've always avoided such ultra high heels, as the arch often looks ridiculous with the foot almost vertical, but these ones did not.&nbsp; I tried them on in the shoe store and decided to get them.&nbsp; It was not this brand name, but these are the boots.</div><div><br /></div><div>The heel is 6 1/4" and the platform is 1 1/2 inches.&nbsp; Never owned a pair of heels this high, so this is different.&nbsp; I would like to wear them on a date at least once before boot season is over, but for now I am weeing them inside the house, to break them in and get the hang of it.&nbsp; I'm a little leery still of doing steps but almost ready to try.</div><div><br /></div><div>Have any of you worn heels like this?&nbsp; What has been your experience?&nbsp; Any suggestions?&nbsp; Also, have you tried to drive in them?<br /></div> </p>
