Nothing like gap or br though. Stuff gets marked down on Mondays if you want to check then. First markdown is usually 50%! The cycle is unpredictable though. Some things never go on sale. (The blog I linked usually lists new sale items.). They'll do a 14-d price adjustment so it's worth checking after the fact. Re:shipping. If you order in the store, shipping is free. They link it to your online account and it ships to your house so there's no difference except you paid in the store. I prefer to try in person anyway... The sizing is inconsistent (they have many house brands, all with diff sizing, and other brands as well) and so is quality. I live within walking distance of the store though! (Dangerous...) ETA: store stock varies a lot though. Check on the website if it's even I your store first. They do put things on sale, but it seems to be just seasonal or after the item's been around a few months. Then it stays on sale. None of the crazy random flash sale stuff. Still I never know where an item is in the cycle, and it's painful to see something go to sale a few weeks after I paid full price! Small sizes often sell out. On the other hand, they VERY frequently have free shipping offers online, so if the store is totally out of your way you could wait for that.  If it's a piece that you really love and is worth it to you at full price - and that looks like a great blouse - it's probably worth a trek to the store. They have big end of season blowouts but in terms of markdowns , when they happen, the pieces get taken to the sale section where they seem to go to die . I have yet to see any of the sale shenanigans offered by the Gap and BR ...which is nice , actually .
