You look really good in green. I love 1, 2, 4, 8. I do like 6/7 as well. The color is good on you and the sleeve detail is really pretty.

I love all of the Anthro pieces - especially the purple dress and the green blouse! I would pass on the pencil skirts. I have found that the Halogen skirts are cut in a way that really doesn't work for my body - and you may have the same problem. First of all they run way too big - and so I need to wear like a double 0 - which isn't going to happen. I ended up getting a Theory pencil skirt instead. It fit me so much better - so much more flattering on my body. You might want to give them a try!

I like it all on you, too! Concerning the pencil skirt, I had the same issue as you with fit. The size six was too big on me and the four was okay but seemed long. The two looked the best, but was just too constricting in the waist. I finally tried the petites and found that the size six petite was perfect. I would definitely give the petites a shot before giving up on the skirt. This in the most confusing skirt when it comes to determining the right size!

I like all of the Anthro stuff on you, 1 and 8 being my favorites, 9 being my least.

I had sizing difficulty with the Halogen skirt too, as you may have read. I am a 6 in most things. Because I want the skirt to sit at my natural/high waist I ended up going with a 2 and really like the fit. I think ultimately it depends on your waist to hip ratio and where you want it to sit on your body. I don't think your belly shows much in the smaller size but it's all about what feels right to you. A darker color may also help mask any imperfections you feel you have. The teal in this skirt is also beautiful and would probably be a great color on you.

Love #1, 8, and 9 on you!! I think the fit of these pencil skirts isn't quite right for you, may be worth trying the petites though (not sure, I'm not very pencil skirt savvy ).

I really liked #1 dress - it seems perfect just the way it is. My next favorite would be the green shirt in #8 and the top in #9. But if I had to pick just one item to keep, it would be the dress in #1.

Wow, I think dress #1 is a KNOCKOUT--fab! With places like Anthro, the sizing can be all over the place, so I wouldn't worry about the size and just go with what feels and looks good :). To my eye, the first dress is beautiful on you, interesting, and perfectly work appropriate. You could easily pair it with a jacket, tights, and boots for the winter. I also love that green blouse on you--love! Not so keen on the pencil skirts--the fit seems off, though I suppose you could tailor. Are they lined?

I really love the dress in photo #1 best of all the dresses and skirts you tried. Great color and cut for you. And the other standouts are the yellow owl blouse in photos #4-5 and the green blouse in #8. As to which size you choose for the yellow blouse I'd go with whatever feels comfortable. I wouldn't worry about the owl print....from the photos I couldn't even tell it was an owl! And the sleeves are not too puffy IMO.

good luck!

The only look I'm not loving is #1 and I agree you might want to try the petite skirt in the 4 if you plan to wear untucked or longer tops or some shapewear underneath. The 6 if you want to tuck and be more comfy. They don't stretch out much while wearing.

I really like the green tie blouse in 8. Did you try the halogen skirts in petite? These seem long on you. I think the petite are 21.5" long, still quite long for a pencil skirt.

All of the Anthro dresses and tops look lovely to me, especially #1 and #3 (I love purple). As far as the tops go I think #8 is flattering as is 4/5. If you get 4/5 in the bigger size, you don't need a cami but you will need one in the smaller size. For some reason it's more see-through and a little sexier in the smaller size. Love the Halogen skirts, I vote for the bigger size (6) in both colors. It is not pulling and is more slimming. If there's a little extra fabric around the seat (13), you could have the back seam taken in a little to reduce the hip space. The tangerine skirt matches your Chies beautifully.

I had a little bit of time after work today so I popped over to Anthropologie and tried out a few things that had looked interesting online. As is usually the case when I shop there, the stuff that looked really cute online I wasn't too sure looked good on me when I actually tried it on. So I didn't walk out with anything, but what do you think? Anything worth going back for (or ordering online)? And I also ran in and tried some of the famous pencil skirts at Nordstrom to get an idea of the sizing. What do you think, do I look good in pencil skirts at all, or does it accentuate my tummy too much? The six felt slightly big, the 4 felt OK, but the size 2 was brutal for clinging to and showcasing my tummy bulge!

1. Winter Tree shirtdress. Size 8 was the smallest they had so I think it might be a little big for me...I'd want to try a size 6 or maybe even size 4. A little thin...it's an unlined dress but nice pattern. Not sure if it's too dark for me? I liked the Japanese-ish print though.
2. Ihrin shirtdress in green. Size 6. This looked great on the website, but in person I thought it made me look kind of fat, and the green was brighter than I thought (I had thought it would be more olive), and it felt a tiny bit short. Also it has this annoying side zipper that only goes halfway up and then you have to do all these little snaps from the waist to the armpit. Awkward. IDK, what do you think? I bought a different shirtdress from H&M (I'll post in another thread) and I'm thinking of sticking with that one instead.
3. Ihrin shirtdress in purple. Size 4. I know this is too small but I was too lazy to go back out and grab the bigger size.
4. Lemon Liftoff blouse size 6. It has a cute owl print. The bottom part felt good (not too tight) but the arms felt a bit puffy and big. Also not sure if it's too whimsical to wear to work with the owls. The white skinny jeans were on sale, but too tight so I couldn't get them.
5. Lemon Liftoff blouse size 4. Fits better in the sleeves but I'm concerned it's too tight/fitted at the tummy?
6-7. Zenobia tee in Wine size S. Nice top, I was going to get it, but then I looked at the tag--$68 for a T shirt??? Hmm...I thought I'd better get your opinions first.
8. Dots Within green blouse. Size 6. I could probably go down a size.
9. Drape & Twist Tee size S. Just picked this up randomly on the way to the dressing room. Not sure if it's a flattering style for me.
10-11. Halogen seamed pencil skirt in tangerine, size 4. This felt like a better fit than the 6 but showed off my belly bulge more.
12-13. Halogen seamed pencil skirt in yellow, size 6.
