As the sandals look at the moment it looks good to me as long as you don't slide down the shoe a little after a few wears and the front loosens up. If you feel as though your feet will stay put, then I think this size looks fine.&nbsp;A whole size bigger is quite a difference. In all of the photos showing the side of your foot, none of your toes are over the edge. I am usually a 39. Good to try the 40s and if they are too big, perhaps using a small, thin adhesive shoe pad on insole of the shoe (ball of foot location) would prevent the slant from sliding your toes so close to the front. edge of the shoe. I feel your pain. I have stubby fingers and toes, yet many shoes have too short of a toe box. Going up a size is usually just a chance to watch my low volume heel flop out of the shoe. </p> <p>Good luck!
