Happy to be of any help, Lyn :-)

We can't change the weather, but we'll hopefully both enjoy at our events.

Well, what a great dress and outfit, and definitely leave out any poinitier heels or even the wedges (the grass may still be wet, so no good for the sandals). Even without weather concerns, I'd still go for the chunky heeled pumps - patent and gold make them look extra dressy, which I think is perfect for te occasion. I am nor very familiar with the dress code in the church as a venue around here, but Bavaria+Austria may not be the most fashion daring places on the planet anyway, and I think it's always safer to assume more conservative vibe - so another vote for the same shoes.

The pin is great, btw, and I can't wait your take on the styling with dark hose when the weather cools down.

Btw, I'd also say add nude hose - it is so cold in the region, not a trace of last week's heat. We also had a children's birthday planned for the coming Saturday, but everything is now being re-arranged due to bad forecast, rain, cold,...

Was fuer ein suesses Kleid, Lyn! I like the first pair of shoes for the Christening, and I think either works for the beach. Isn't great when you find something after all this time?!

Thax Suz(and all) you made me blushing:-9--- yes I like the dess very very much!!! But pls. believe me, never ever thought will go to a christening, still wondering if good enough:-).

Just for the record, wedges are nubuck leather(not canvas). But they have ropes on the wedges, so yes- they are a bit too casual-for church, IMHO, too.
I also think the patent flats will do better with some rain (pics. 4-5). They are the ones up in the middle of pictie nr. 3.

Ooh, Lyn - this seems like the perfect dress for you! I can see why you fell in love; it just seems the epitome of "you" in style -- sophisticated, yet easy; polished, yet fun! And it looks like a dream on you. One of my fave outfits of yours, ever!! (So jealous that you can wear that neckline...it's so pretty, as is the side draping at the waist.)

For footwear, I really like pic 4, and think those shoes would combine practicality with dressiness. I also love the wedges, but those are a bit more casual, so I guess it depends on how dressy the event is. Also, since they are canvas (I think?) and anyway, peep toe, you might not be as comfortable if it is rainy in those.

Lovely outfit and it sounds like a wonderful event!

This is a great looking dress on you and seems fine for your summer activities. I like the light toned shoes best for summer. The middle pair in the top row of photo 3 look low heeled but dressy. So do the ones you are wearing.

Gorgeous dress. I like the lower heeled shoes in pic 3 , you have two pairs in the middle of the pic. Maybe the ones at the bottom? I do like the wedges though, but they give a slightly more casual look. Could you wear the ones you are wearing in pic 4 and maybe change to a wedge for the garden after?
I like the gold sandals for the sundress look.

(To y'all: pls excuse my goofy faces and lack of grooming, picties were taken first thing in the morning, so no make up (afraid of staining) and my hair is that messy from trying things on:-))

I pinned/loved this outfit last fall, and have looked for it on ebay since, but never found one in my size, but wow, I've just gotten it to my little paws, now!:-)

Previously, when mad about this dress I was thinking the only way it could be worn was like in nr 2 (pined for my Inspiration board)-so I thought only fall and winter but when trying on this morning, it seemed quit right for some summer functions (sundress and even a family christening) as well.

Am I nuts? Please see below.(Dress is a well made cotton/ viscoze/elastane knitt jersey).

For the family christenning this weekend, I have other dressier options as well(can make a separate thread for these, too), but just found out will be held in a small village and it's small local church (in Austria, near Innsbruck) and will have to attend a modest garden party at the young couple's own house afterwards (so think some grass, too).

Weather (according to 5 days forecasting) will be fine(20°C) but cloudy and can also have some minor rain.

So, I guess dressy heels are excluded this time as they can sink in the grass.
You can see my shoe options in pictie nr. 3.
(I have some sling back sandals with kitten heels, tan patent ballet flats (still an 1" chunky heel:-)) , 2 summer peep toe wedges (tan and navy same brand and desing and a dark grey sling back, too).

Which one can do work my navy and tan stripe dress for this function best?

Please help.
Thanx for your time and pls do know any feedback is highly appreciated.

I shout out for Ornella's and Astrid's feedbacks, too- as they live on German speaking-lands and may know better what's suitable for that venue:-)).

(for the sundress function(beach) I have gold low wedge sandals, or the higher navy/tan ones-does any of these work?-last row of picties)
