If you look best in colors with blue undertones, then it sounds like your color palette should work. You might hold blue-reds and orange-reds up to your face in a good natural light to see which is best. It sounds like you can take strong hues with your coloring.

BTW, Leah, teal is the very worst color I can wear. I've even had SAs tell me that it's definitely not a good color. I look jaundiced and sick. I can think of several others I know who can't wear that shade of teal. Aqua seems more universally acceptable than teal for some reason. In the Real Simple example, the blonde model didn't look very good in the teal. It overpowered her soft coloring
The colors I'd been told are flattering to most are a true red ( not too yellow or blue), periwinkle blue and ivory.

According to this article, Teal is one of the universally flattering colours. I don't think I have seen it not suit anyone ever, so if you like it, grab it!

I know April started a thread just recently asking about a particular scarf and which colours would suit her best. I wanted to ask something similar - hope you don't mind me stepping on your toes April!

I'm slowly clearing out and rebuilding my wardrobe at the moment, so I'm taking it as an opportunity to look at what colours actually suit me, as opposed to what I think suits me.

The new clothes I've bought recently have all been basics and mostly tending towards neutral, but I'm finding that I'm quite drawn to deep red/maroon/burgundy, and have some new items in these colours. I'm tending towards cooler, deeper colours, and am envisaging more purple, red, pink and blue in my wardrobe as time goes on.

This is a scarf I'm looking at buying for winter. I'm drawn most towards the purple, fuschia or teal options, but wanted to know what people think. I have medium brown skin with black hair and dark brown eyes. Thank you!
