Another reason why I wish I had a Nordstrom in my home town!

I have a 1/2 inch size difference as well. I always buy to fit my larger foot and then add an insole to the smaller one.

Wow, I didn't know that about Nordstrom. I've often thought that there should be a clearinghouse for people with these issues so that you could find your counterpart with the coordinating sizes. (Hmm, internet startup?)

One of my feet is bigger than the other but I don't think it's a full half-size. I just buy for the bigger one and add an insole or spacer if absolutely necessary.

I have the same problem that you do and didn't know about Nordstrom's policy even though shoe SAs knew I was trying to fit different sizes. I fit the larger foot and add an insole and sometimes heel liner on the smaller side. Sometimes it's just the toe area that is too narrow on one side (old broken pinky toe healed bent). Then stretching the shoe in that area can do the trick. I've had luck with some styles of MeToo and Dr Scholl's fiting both feet. It will be Nordies shoes from now on!

What jersey jan said. Another reason to buy shoes at Nordies. My friend buys ALL her child's shoes there because she is two sizes difference between her feet.

I have heard that Nordstrom will sell you two different sizes if needed with no extra charge. Good Luck!

My feet have a 1/2 size difference, with the shorter one being a little wider. Shoe almost never feel super comfy on both both feet at the same time. Anyone has similar problem and how do you address this? I find adding an insole helps sometimes, some other times I have to resort to stuff cotton balls into the shorter one. Doesn't work for peep toe or sandals of course? I really don't want to buy 2 sizes for one shoe... Anyone like to share their wisdom?
