I live in an urban and gritty setting, and heels look wrong with my dressy and polished outfits&nbsp; - (and don't work for my feet when I'm pounding the pavements anyway!). The flats dress it all down perfectly. There was (still is) something slightly off - or let's say too conservative - &nbsp;about the cut and shape .&nbsp;Anyways, today I saw them in black suede and decided to actually try them on ....and bought them. They aren't quite the $89 fun-priced shoe that they are in the US ($129 here I think) but I managed to finagle 20% off of the price in a discussion with the shop person. &nbsp;They are indeed very, very comfortable on the foot, albeit quite narrow (as all the reviews mention &nbsp;- and I have a narrow foot too) , and do a good job of minimizing the small bunion I have on one foot. &nbsp;I think they will do the trick in helping me move toward a more chic and feminine look - and the suede helps up the luxury factor. Thanks for all of the recommendations for this shoe! &nbsp;</p> <p>I'm going to try them today with black ankle trousers, a gold metallic and black Smythe blazer, a white t, and some gold jewellery. &nbsp; </p> </p> <p>eta - they relaxed a LOT in the few hours I wore them, and I now see that there isn't a ton of real support in these shoes. Nice insole, but the suede is so soft as to be slipper-like. &nbsp;Still happy I bought them ;)&nbsp;</p>
