I was thinking the metallic finish might be more delicate and so if I were going somewhere where I might want something sturdier (such as the Santa Pub crawl which I've never gone to but hey, you never know) that the grey one might be better. It seems to serve the same purpose/potentially work with the same outfits of the other one. However, I bought a leather coat (mid-thigh length) nearly 20 years ago. It is still my most favorite item in my closet. If I ever found something like it in grey, chocolate, white or cream, I would definitely duplicate. If it's something you'll love forever, go for it! Do you think it is too similar to the original jacket? BTW, my husband likes the new one. He thinks the lines are better. As you can plainly see, I have not styled it. I do not intend to wear my fuzzy slippers with it! </p>
