I hear you Lizky. V-necks are probably too va va voom for your torso. The right cami really helps though. Have a look at the thread that Shell posted a few days ago of her outfit. I think a scoop neck is best. If you were my client, we’d be looking for another dress (sad face).

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

Angie - I am worried about the "pulling" too. I was thinking of getting the area between the bust and the shoulder altered/fitted but don't know if it is worth the money or the trouble OR if I should just look for another dress. The "pulling" is always my problem... Of course v neck dresses/wrap dresses usually are too low for me.

My dear Lizky, you have co-ordinated this girly dress beautifully, and your sense of colour matching is commendable. But your bust line is screaming for a scooped, or V-neckline. As is, the dress is pulling across the bust area. A lower neckline is going to be a lot more flattering. What are your thoughts?

You don't look like an apple to me.. More hourglass.

Attached are some pictures of me in the green dress. I'm apple shaped with bigger bust. What do you think. I dressed it up with spring color combinations. (here's my first attempt with linking photos)

A gorgeous dress! Hubby is hilarious. I used to be a brownie and I wish my uniform looked like that.

Maya is quite right. It’s the perfect dress for a straight, boyish body with a smallish chest (like me and this dress can go straight into my wardrobe). An inverted triangle with a small bust line is another ideal body type of this frock. If this is your body type, go for it. How is the length?

Julia and Maya make super suggestions on how to dress it up or down.

It definitely isn't girl scoutish but I am VERY skeptical of those huge hip pockets. I can't see those being at all flattering unless you have a very boyish body type or a very slim lower half. If you do I would just polish i up with jewelry and some smart shoes and that should help.

Your hubby is silly! It's totally elegant and appropriate for work and weekends.

I'd pair it with white to polish it up for work and wear with yellow or fushia to make it fun for weekends. It doesn't hit you at the same length as the model, right? If so it is too short for work.

I bought this green shift dress from Nordstrom. I thought it would be a versitile dress to wear to work and the weekends.
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/29.....me=product

It fits me good. When I showed it to my husband (on the hanger) he commented that it looks like a girls scout uniform?! (he's silly)

So, my dilemma is should I keep it or should I return it? If I keep it, what can I wear with it to make it look less "girls scout-ish" and more fun for the spring/summer.
