You look amazing and have great legs. That being said the green dress and the patterned dress are way too short for work! You could safely wear rhe patterned dress with leggings tho imo. The wig looks super classy and the color is great.

You've made several comments about the wig leading you in a certain direction. I think you're a more natural teacher than I am, so dk if this helps but.... For my teaching, especially on days when I felt "off" or students weren't responding, I always found it helpful to picture the persona I wanted to be in the classroom. How would they stand, speak, formulate questions, etc? Is the persona this wig brings out in you (and we all have many sides) the one you want in the classroom, or will you be fighting? I think the best guide for putting together teaching outfits, especially with such a big change, is to let yourself flow into character, then try out teaching "in character". Can you imagine the gestures, tone, etc. of the persona this wig brings out in teaching?

Best wishes!

Thank you so much for having taken the time to comment. I appreciate your earnest opinion and reaction. This is very constructive for me, as it helps me better understand outfit components. Indeed, when one changes something in terms of proportion, such as hair, it highlights what was there all along but was not necessarily seen previously. Your eyes, your vision, with your sensibility open my own eyes. What a wonderful bunch you guys are.

Yes, I see now how these outfits are not in flow with the setting and activity of teaching. Although I teach to you g adults and not children, still, I need to be able to move freely and be comfortable. I should also look approachable. The above outfits are not the best to meet these requirements.

I think I wasn't really thinking of performing my job, but more following what the wig's style and color inspired me. I must add that due to an accident in late August, I have been on sick leave for the past month. I am to reintegrate classes this coming week. I think I must have disconnected a little from my usual occupation. But this makes me wonder... could I be having a secret longtime ambition for a new career path as a flight attendant? ... if so, my propensity towards flight panic and fear of heights might be a bigger problem than my wardrobe!

Aywho. This was a fun experiment. I do like the wig and will try to make it work in other ways. I like your suggestion of going for a 1970's casual vibe (instead of a 1970's soap-opera vibe!). This wig is advertised as supposed to make one feel like Beyoncé. Of course, I knew nothing of the sort would happen in my case, but I find it interesting, to say the least, that the same hair would produce such different energies on different people.

This wig demands more work and more wiggling into my lifestyle but I am determined. :)

You are sure having fun with wigs! It would be wonderful to be able to change up your hairstyle daily.

I will be honest that this is probably my least favorite of the wigs you have posted. I love the color but feel that the texture of this one is maybe too heavy for your fine features? On this wig, I see the hair first, and then your face, instead of the two working together. Just my two cents.

I agree with the others that the shorter skirts would be too short for a school setting. But on no. 7, could you wear a pair of jeans underneath the dress? I think that would make it more of a tunic than a dress.

The navy blazer is cute, but as you say, it does seem a little flight attendant-ish, and I'm not sure how to fix that. I think you would have to pair the jacket either with something very casual, like jeans, or maybe with a pair of flowy, wide-leg crops in a color besides navy.

I’m not sure about the outfits, I really like it when I feel as if I can see the fizz / energy of your personality pop out of the photos and I’m not getting that vibe here, perhaps they look a bit ‘prim’. I hope that you don’t mind my saying - lovely to see you face close up! Which is beautiful!

I agree with Jussie, Binkle and Janet. #6 looks like it would work for teaching as you have styled it. The wig looks good. Will your students realize that you are wearing a wig? That may have painful consequences.

You are a gorgeous redhead! You look great in these outfits, and I agree with the that most of them are best for going out, not teaching. 6 would be an exception - flattering and professional. Or 7 with heavier weight leggings or skinnies, for a more casual but still polished for work look. What a difference the hairdresser made on the wig!

#4 - too body con for teaching.
#5 - the jacket helps, but the dress is still way too short, to be worn as a dress with lace tights.
#6 - very flattering and appropriate.
#7 - not appropriate - too short especially with bare legs. Maybe try it over jeans or skinny cords or velveteen?

I love that you're having so much fun with all your wigs, and that you have enough variety to reflect your mood or the occasion. As for dress/skirt length, part of me wants to say, "wear whatever you want" but, I agree with everyone else that the short and fitted look in 4 and 5 is likely to raise eyebrows in a teaching setting. 7 could work over leggings or pants. I do like the retro feel of all the outfits.

Krish I like this wig on you and like how you customised it. I think it would look great for teaching with a less dramatic outfit, such as black pants and a crew neck sweater. It looks great with the forest green colour, but that dress does look like a going out with the girls kind of outfit. You do look very good in it.

Thank you so much guys for this sincere retroaction. So yes, I agree looking at those that they look like outift for dates. It's funny, because I am so influenced by hair when putting an outfit together. Are you like this too? I notice it a lot now with the wigs. Some things in my closet just screams a certain look. Maybe this wig is not the one to be teaching in?
Another of my problems is that I somwhow lack winter flat options for indoor wear. They all have a little heel, which automatically elevates anything. Mind you, I am a fan of little heels, being on the short side. But I agree that heels + lots of leg show + formfitting + 1970's hair...

Still, I will work this wig that I dig! I really want to give it a try as an everyday option.

I also find the two dresses too short for teaching - the green one is too body-con, too but great for a date night or so!:-)
And, think, the one you wear in nr 7 (is a straighter cut) and so it could possibly be rescued for teaching if worn with some dark opaques or leggings instead of bare legs (and the boots).

I agree with Jussie on both points. I think the color of this wig is great, but the cut seems, I don't know, not quite you. I'm not sure I'm feeling the heavy bangs for you.

#6 looks great, and totally work-appropriate. However, I'm not digging the idea of the short, fitted silhouette of 4 and 5 for teaching -- as fabulous as your body looks in all of these, those outfits look much more like date-night to me due to the very fitted silhouette + quite short skirt. I think #7 would work for teaching with the addition of leggings -- the less fitted style seems more modest and work-appropriate even though it's more casual.

Jussie, thank you for your honest feedback. It's so appreciated. It makes me progress tremendously. You made some good points here.
So I think I might wear those dresses as tunics and find something that would work on the bottom. Leggings come immideately to mind, but, I don't know if you're like me, I crave for a different silhouette. That's why I tried these dresses on their own. But last time I wore them like this might very well have been in the 90's...wait, the 80's! Yikes. Hence the leggy-heeled-stewardess feel. I will be looking further.

Nice to see you Krishnidoux, ok, here’s my honest opinion, but please disregard as I’m not expert and have many blind spots.
This wig is more conservative than the last one you posted, and I think the other one seems more “you”.
As for the short blue-green dress, and the red knit dress: I absolutely would not wear these for teaching. I say this because some people, mainly women, are incredibly old fashioned and judgemental about short skirts, and I personally know people who make snide comments about this type of skirt. It’s sad I know, but I’ve seen it happen.
I only write it because I can tell what a wonderful, positive and creative person you are and I want to protect you from the world!
You’re gorgeous and have a brilliant sense of style, not everyone will understand it, like a piece of art.
For non-work times: I say wear whatever the heck you want :).
FWIW the both knit dresses are beautiful and I think they’d be fine for non work.

In this post I would like to tell you of another ginger wig, and then ask for your kind advice on a couple of outfits I intend to wear with it.

(I hope this post is not too long. There are details about the wigs for those interested, but if you feel it's too much please tell me!).

So first let me introduce you to "Diana" (all wigs are baptised with names like this) in the Ashanti series from Bohemian Wigs. This one is 12'' and color # FS2730. "FS" stands for Frosted Syrup color; 27 translates as strawberry blonde, and 30 as light auburn. In any case, it's a beautiful carrot-like red, just the shade you pay lots of $$$ for at the salon only to see it fade badly after a few washes. So It's good to have it on a wig that cost in the two digits. Especially that the quality of the synthetic hair is very nice, very soft and real looking. I got it at a local African American hair and beauty supply store, where there is a lot more choice, prices are much lower and SA's much knowledgeable. However as a tradeoff for a lower price, one has to be ready to fuss a little over the unit before making it completely theirs. This means adding or removing combs, sewing base band, and sometimes, like in this case, removing volume using sheers. I thought the unit was pretty bulky when I first got it (as shown here https://www.clorebeauty.com/di.....ashanti-12). So I equiped myself with sheers, a styrofoam head, and tried my hand at it as I followed Youtube tutorials. But it soon proved to be a much less simple affair than anticipated and the end reasult was pic 1. Not bad, as I was able to remove the bulk from the sides, but the top and bangs didn't feel like "me". In fact, my reflection vaguely reminded my of a little boy my son used to be friends with. Upon closer examination, I realized that it may had been the uneven bangs paired with their heaviness. A local salon's stylist kindly rescued the situation, opening up the unit to reveal more eyes and more brows, leaving me very satisfyed with the result (pics 2-3), and my wallet satisfyed also (total cost: $6.80). So I think this very well be a keeper for the fall and I am contemplating using it for work.

Hence my outfit questions...

(Please excuse my palid tired face here, I'm recovering from a bad cold).

#4: Green knitted dress from Only. I'm wearing navy opaque tights and black pumps with a slight heel. I've added a navy gold buckle belt because I felt naked without anything somehow. The tights here are patterned but I also have solid ones. My question: Do you think this rather bodycon number is appropriate to go teach? What other footwear would you suggest with this?

#5: Same with navy tweed-like material jacket hand made in the day by my grandmother. My question: Do I absolutely look too much like a flight attendant from the 60's? How could I un-stweardess this outfit?

#6: Same question.

#7: A RL native patterned knit dress I adore. What do you think of this interpretation? My question: Could I possibly go teach like this or is it a faux pas for a 50 yr old (or for an any-age yr old teacher for that matter)? I teach French writing and literature in a somewhat large institution, a very relaxed and casual environment, to kids aged 17-25.

Thanks for watching and for your much appreciated feedback!
