bettycrocker: I like #2 and these are my most worn colors in fall/winter. I was worried that they were too severe for me, but feel better about that now because of the response I've gotten.
JAileen: I think you are right and both Spring and Winter are good for me.
Isabel: I really like #1 and #5, Bright Winter, and am happy you and others like it on me. These are fun, happy colors that I was always hesitant to wear before but now feel more confident about trying.
Firecracker and Brooklyn: #3 and #4, Light Spring, are my 'go to colors' and I like them and have worn them for years and am probably getting a bit tired of them but it's good to know that they work for me.

Interesting! My favorite here was 4, followed by 3. Then I read the comments and started wondering about my assessment. But my picks seem to align with your past experience, anyway.

This is really interesting and thank you all for your help. I had my colors done years ago in a large group setting (20) so she didn't spend much time with me or anyone else. She was able to pick a season fairly quickly for most of the participants but had a hard time deciding between Spring and Winter for me. Not all of the captions showed up on the photos so: 1 is bright, 2 - dark, 3 - light, 4 - spring, 5 - winter.
This color wheel program is primitive but it showed me that muted, cool, warm, Autumn, and Summer don't work for me so I left them out and put up the others for help. Spring and Winter are very close, 4-5.
dakotacheryl, Evie, and Angie, Joy: #1 and #5 - Bright winter colors are the best and I have always thought that they were too bright for me. I got two new plaid tops in bright colors this year and people loved them, so I will embrace brightness this year.
Dana, smittie, Deb, Carter, and jennifer (thank you for your in depth answer, it is so enlightening): Light Spring is what has been working for me for years and thanks for validating it.
rachylou, Sterling: #2 is DH favorite and I like it too. Really glad to get this support for wearing the Dark.

Anyone else: Please chime in to break this tie.

I like 3 for you especially the blue and aqua shades from that palette. 5 is my second choice.
Least favourites are 2 - too dark for you, and 4 - too warm.

Joining the ranks of the Circle Sisters :-)
It looks like you have the same grey eye colour as I do, but your skin seems peachy. Am I correct that your skin is peachy?
I think #3 and #4 look best.
#5 looks good too, but I'm inclined to think that these colours would be better if they were slightly lighter on you.

I'm erring toward #3 and #4 for you. I'm not convinced brights or darks are the best option for your colouring or age at all. Agreeing with Jennifer in that your features read spring and the muted colours look very good against your complexion.

I'd say that #3 (light spring)or 4 (true spring)is best ,they seem to work with and clarify your skin tone rather than compete with it. I read that if you compare your hair, skin colour, and eye colour to a black and pure white gradient ( 8 shades of gray in between)and choose what level each most closely matches, then you can see what amount of contrast is the most naturally flattering.
Your hair and skin are light ( I'd estimate about a 3?)and your eye colour is medium deep at most ( about a 6-7?)so you don't appear to have a natural high contrast that is best flattered by palette 1(bright winter) or palette 2 ( deep winter) . Both palettes 1&2 often saturate the market as much of the world is deeper complected and higher contrast.
I'm not trying to dictate, talk down to or anything, I just want to help you evaluate your colouring and better know your wardrobe tools. ( I'm an INTJ -I love analyzing!)Fashion is for fun and so knowing what is going to be the most personally flattering for our body shapes and personal colouring can allow us to choose to be fabulous OR just fab enough with something that may not be conventionally flattering but is chosen anyway! Hope this helps!
