It was an unfamiliar brand to me when I first saw them at a small shoe store in northern California two summers ago. It was love at first sight. I always find myself reaching for them. I find their boots run big, especially in width, but I can deal with that with inserts and thick socks. My A.S. 98s wear like iron, are very comfortable, and look better as they age.
