The Gap has some great white jeans at the moment. I've been impressed by their recent selection and fit - usually I go for designer jeans but these are good. The denim feels like real denim, not leggings denim. I think they have white versions of their ripped BF jeans, cropped straight, and skinny.

I just bought a pair of Seven Kimmies in straight leg. I'm waiting for one other version of the Sevens to come, but I think these are keepers. Slight pocket show-through, but thick material, so they likely won't show once they stretch out a bit.

I got a pair of awesome white Joe's Jeans boyfriend jeans at my local Rack. They're the "Justen" style and are nice a slouchy and soft and thick.

I have some white Paige jeans from last year that are fairly thick. They're oversized and there is no pocket show through. The pockets in my kut Catherines show slightly. I'm planning on having them cut and seen shut. Angie loves her Catherines and bought a duplicate pair this year. Please post if you find the unicorn poo!

White summer jeans eluded me for 3 years, but last summer I found a versatile pair in midweight, midrise Not Your Daughter's Jeans straight legs in a petite size. Until YLF I wouldn't have had the stamina to keep hunting!

Don't know why these garments are so difficult to find and fit. I'm a pretty easy fit in denim but easily a hundred pair of white jeans were from another planet. Good luck, keep on the hunt.

Help! I need recommendations for what folks are seeing in stores/online this year for ideal white jeans in either relaxed skinny, or preferably BF white jeans that are heavy enough to provide coverage in terms of both smoothing and opacity. I've looked on here to see if there is a holy grail jean (like the AG Nikki, for instance) that I can try. I wear mostly Kuts and Joes, with some COH and Hudsons (the latter are getting to feel too short in the rise), but what I've found to try at The Rack is largely thin and stretchy, or cut strangely, even in my usual brands. It's like white jeans are from another planet! I may have to make a pilgrimage to find these, as one of my favorite Brit bloggers refers to them, as difficult to find as "unicorn poo".
