I bought a great, expensive trench on sale right after Christmas this year with gorgeous detailing and a removable cozy liner that I can actually wear as a hooded long puffer. I think if you get a Burberry (and that is the style you love) you will have it for a very long time and will get lots of wear out of it. It is an investment and a commitment, so think hard about whether you really love the trench, or whether there might be something you love more. I don't know whether they really work well in your weather or not. It seems like more places are coming out with extended calf boots, but mine are quite big. To be honest, though, I haven't tried too many kinds. I have actually had success at Target with some stretchy materials, but I think it's important to stick to suede (or faux) instead of fake leather there because otherwise they look kinda cheap. At Christmas I finally found a pair I really love at Marina Rinaldi. They only carry size 9+, and they just fit my 8.5/9 feet. The style is a light rough-out leather cowboy boot that is actually really slim and long and lean. So, they don't work with everything, but they nip in at the ankles enough for me and are plenty wide without being loose at the calf. If you can wear a 9, check them out...but be ready to spend. </p> <p>I have been thinking about trying Duo boots, as people have suggested on here. I just don't have any clue what the quality is like or the fit of the shoe. Otherwise, I think I will try Zappos, Nordstrom, perhaps J Crew. </p> <p>White jeans - I REALLY want a pair. Since I am a 16 or so, though, there aren't that many pairs out there. I tried a NYDJ and they came up to almost my chest. I hardly like pants at my waist, let alone my bra. I did love the long line of the leg, though. If I'm primarily looking for tops, for instance, I make sure I'm wearing a top that's super easy to take off and put back on (no layering, belting etc.) and I wear bottoms that represent the look I'm after, e.g. I might wear skinnies if I'm hoping to find a great tunic length top. And when I'm primarily looking for bottoms, I'll wear a relatively basic top so I don't get distracted in the mirror.</p> <p>I never wear a dress when going shopping, so I won't find myself in the dressing with just half of my body dressed.</p> <p>So overall, I want to wear unfussy and versatile clothes when out shopping, but I also want to represent my style, which can be helpful when you have sales reps assisting you. I want them to see that I like a funky look rather than a super classy one, etc. I'm most likely to wear jeans, a versatile top (which for me could be a black v-neck sleeveless top with some detail) and then some fun earrings and bag for the hip and funky factor.
