I bought the little AllSaints purse/wallet for travel but end up using it most of the time.The flowered backpack I use for walking errands to the grocery store or farmers market and I love the cheeriness.</p> <p>The sneakers are great as I wear shoes at home but take them off for lounging and they pop on and off easily. &nbsp;The PJ set and shirt have also fit right in and get worn a lot. The skirt and dress don’t get worn as much but are solid contributors. I just wore the skirt, purse, &nbsp;and backpack to the farmers market yesterday, in fact! It has a high happiness factor.<div><br /></div><div>The only real miss was the brown skirt. I think that’s because it’s a winter skirt and I find it too cold to wear skirts in winter, unless I wear tights and I can’t be bothered working from home. I wore it just a handful of time. The Pendleton Darby coat, the Paul Green bobbi moto boots, and all the pieces below have been absolute workhorses that are still in heavy rotation. The EF merino high/low tunics from my first NAS are going strong. But the pieces that were aspirational, or lemming shops were not good choices. I really have to be discriminating and shop with my head first and only then check in with my gut. If it ticks all my boxes and them has me screaming wantsies it’s usually a big win. If I shop from want or fomo I’m courting disasters. I’m still working on that level of detachment/love ratio. July snuck up on me. Haven’t seen the catalog yet, but it’s always interesting to get an idea of what’s to come. </p> <p>I looked back at what I got last year:</p> <p>-The only totally resounding success was the Zella top. I wear it for Pilates weekly, and it also works well for my hiking/exploring days, without looking like just a basic tee. </p> <p>-The patterned skirt is cute, I’ve worn it a few times but not a workhorse. It will likely see a bit more wear as this summer progresses, and it was very inexpensive, so not a big mistake or anything like that, but if I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn’t buy it again.</p> <p>- The Herschel backpack has only been used once or twice — it’s more pretty than functional, and I so often wear prints in my outfits that I don’t often reach for a bag with a print. And I use my Bao Bao backpack so much that other bags just pale in comparison. I should probably sell the floral backpack since it’s still in perfect condition. </p> <p>- I ended up returning the mixed media trench. It was a little fussy and stiff for me, and the color not my absolute best. I am well-stocked with such excellent coats that I am determined to be very picky in that department as well.</p> <p>I have learned that the NAS comes so early for me for fall/winter items that it is often hard to predict what will resonate with me months later when the weather finally cools off. I do well with purchases that can be worn immediately.</p> <p>I can get caught in a little FOMO, and of course with no store near me anymore, just trying something on means a spate of ordering, shipping, and returning, which is tiresome.
