Fussy: laundry and vacuuming. Something about an empty hamper and fresh vacuum tracks in carpet that fills my heart with happy.

Lazy: my haircuts - I’ll go months in a messy bun if it gets me out of a haircut.

Fussy: about ironing. I quite enjoy ironing once I start doing it and I must iron woven items before wearing them.
Lazy: about ironing. I've relaxed my standards on how crisp an ironed item must be. After living for six months after a hurricane with a portable generator as our only power source I accept that, in the grand scheme of things, the precision and sharpness of a crease really doesn't matter.

Lazy: nearly everything except my actual paid work?
Hairstyle: lazy: wash, comb and go.
Ironing: lazy, got the board out for the first time since we moved in here 6 months ago, to iron 3 things for the vintage consignment shop.
Bag: lazy, use the same handbag until very battered and then donate it, buy another and do the same.
Polishing shoes: nope. Guiltily wondering about donating the fringed black boots with 88 wears instead of bothering polishing them...
Fussy: removing stains and mending. Somehow wearing stained clothing or clothing with holes makes me feel poor which I don’t like.

Oh, definitely the buttons. I've been known to snip all the buttons off a jacket and make it "open-front" instead of sewing back the one that fell off!

Hemming pants is another one... I always say I should just do it myself. But my sewing table got turned into a "home improvement" table, which shows you where my priorities lie. In my defence, there are only two professional tailors within a forty-minute radius of my house, and they both get so backed up this time of year (weddings, proms, graduations) that even if I did want to pay someone to do it for me, I probably wouldn't get my stuff back 'til August.

I'm good about taking things to consignment, but the donation bags just sit and sit. I need a monetary incentive apparently.

I am sitting here and literally eating my words. Yesterday, I spilled coffee on my new white denim jacket (its first wearing out!) Oh the horror! I washed it once and it didn't come out clean, I washed a second time with bleach, still not clean. Of course, I can't just throw a brand new and beloved denim jacket in the thrash. So I spent a fair bit of time brushing out each stain with bleach. It does look pretty clean. But I also came to realize that with a casual white jacket, I should increase my stain tolerance threshold.

Lazy - Ironing. Updating sleepwear/loungewear
Fussy - Purging, and (lately) folding - I want my shelves to make me happy when I see them.

Also.... Fussy about my work environment - can't have too many papers or things lying around. Lazy about my creative environment - lots of extra thread, material, etc all over in case I need it.

Well, I could write a book on the things I am 'lazy' about. To be honest once I am in the middle of doing something (work, projects, rehearsals) I have a bit of tunnel vision and don't see anything else around . Which I don't worry much about because once I move task I also devote my full attention to that.
The great exception are stains. I can't stand to have stains. My mother tells me that I am like that since I was a child. She says that if I had a stain I would barely enter the house before stripping out of the offending item. I don't recall that, and thankfully don't do it anymore :o)

I do airdry my clothes but I'd say apart from that I'm tending towards lazy all the way!

I don't mind ironing when I do it in my work building facility when it's all set up with a good iron and a board - it's the getting it out that's part of the hassle.

Same with mending - getting out the sewing machine, finding an extension cord, re-threading with new thread - all significant detractors.

Aww Kyle! And lots of dead toys in my house too-probably under furniture.

Dh says I'm the most disciplined person he knows. Utter rubbish!

Lazy-my yard, it needs profe$$ional intervention :p
Ironing- I'm the toss in the dryer with a wet rag sort.
Paperwork-I procrastinate it.
Everything when I'm super busy, or its cold, or I'm unmotivated...

Fussy-getting everything "back to zero" on Sundays: house tidied, week of outfits made up, laundry, cooking, etc, etc. Lint (cause animals) I lint roll obsessively! Calorie tracking-its a royal pain but so is replacing clothes. Makeup-essential when leaving the house. Shower and leg shaving-essential even when not leaving the house! Hair-has to be tamed into submission, especially with humidity (then panic that I left the flat iron plugged in when I go out).

Lazy about: Bags. I buy one about every 5 years or even less often and carry that one daily until I can't stand it any more or it looks awful. The can't stand it takes longer because I'm lazy about caring about my purse. (That said, it's time now and I want a new one.)

Fussy about: Jewelry. I want all of it, think hard about putting it with outfits, sometimes decide what jewelry I want to wear and then make the clothes choice match that instead of the other way around, and want to wear different pieces every day.

Joy - you just reminded/guilted me. My winter shoes badly need polish, and as we are having endless winter, they cont8nue to get a Loy of wear.

I’m not sure it is lazy as much as frugal! But workout and loungewear are the rattiest things - frayed necks, Compression shorts! 3 sizes too big, etc. I mostly work out at home and the fam doesn’t judge (out loud). I’m in awe of those of you with coordinated capsules of these.

I have OCD issues with stains/spots.

Angie, I’m right there with you! LOL I straighten the pillows on our sofa, and one (or more) of the dogs immediately goes and pushes them around until the pillows are on the floor. Too funny.

Lazy about polishing shoes. I used to not be and blame it on additional step that has been added since we moved. It wanting to get polish on white carpets and not moving any rags, I need to find a designated cloth or towel to lay down under the shoes I am working on. My polish box also needs to be very handy so I don’t need a step stool to get it.
Fussy- pilling and laundry.

This thread is making me smile :)

I'm fussy, controlling, and anal about just about everything. It's stress relieving for me, and a mental coping strategy. I straighten cushions and pillows Sam jumps on all day long......*SIGH*.

Fussy: Crisply ironed woven items.
Lazy: Ironing. (Like Janet, I don't mind doing it when I'm doing it, it just takes me forever to decide to do it and put it in my schedule!)

Fussy: hemmed items, items all in good working order.
Lazy: scheduling time to take clothes to seamstress and repair person.

As for lint -- in my case that is such a lost cause, I don't even notice it any more. My main neutral is navy; my cat is creamy off-white. You can imagine.
