I tried on the denim skirt (in petite, mind you) and the size 4 was too big. They did not have it in a 2 to compare, but I suspect that would've fit me. San, you are going to love this skirt, it's really nice. I think you also should try the ponte knit skirt - sooooo comfy!

It does seem to me that AT has redone their fit, not necessarily their sizing. Sizing seems about the same to me as always, though I have gone up a little with weight gain, putting me in the awkward between-sizes area. However, it used to be I could never wear their skirts OR their pants, they would be too tight in the waist and way too loose in the hips. Which is why I'd opt for ATL instead, since they had more of a junior cut. But that is no longer the case at AT - I found lots of their skirts and pants work for me now.

I have the denim pencil skirt, Sandy and I can get in my car just fine. It has a slit in the back. I take an 8 in AT slacks, but a 6 in their skirts. I also take a 6 in JCrew and BR skirts for reference.

Sandy, that pencil skirt is gorgeous! I had it on a client this week. I say a size 2 for you.

Oooh! I had the ponte skirt on another client. What would we do without AT! I say a 2 in that one too.

I'm considering this skirt. I'm afraid it looks like one of those skirts that make it very difficult to get in the car though. Have you seen this on anyone Taylor?
Boy there are some beautiful blouses on the website too.

This one is beautiful too.

What do you want to order? Top or bottom? Shoot me a photo .

Most likely size down one...Loft runs larger than AT in many items.

I think AT and ATL fit similarly. Definitely on the large side.

I'm interested in ordering something from Ann Taylor. This will be my first try with the Ann Taylor brand. I have bought the Loft brand, a skirt, and I had to buy a size smaller than I normally wear. Does AnnTaylor clothing run the same? If I normally wear a 4 than should I expect a 4 to fit similarly? Or should I order a size smaller like I did at the Loft.
Thanks for any advice.
