ROFL, Taylor, I have been considering picking up a couple of shifts at Loft just for the discount. I loved that when I worked at Forth & Towne!

Trouser pants or a pencil skirt with a collared shirt and cardigan/vest would be good for a sales floor interview. Make sure you wear nice shoes and have a pretty bag. If you have ATL, wear that. Most of all, you want to look polished, that you show good attention to detail, and are friendly. Good luck!

What fun! I have absolutely no experience with this, but I've always imagined that for a SA, they would want someone with a great sense of fashion. Of course, you would still need to dress professionally for the interview, but I would think that you'd have much more latitude to be creative, as opposed to someone applying for an office job.

I can see an unmatched suit working - something that shows you could help customers put together a great outfit!

Have you looked at the ATL website? I would check out the outfits section for an idea of what the style of company is. A matched suit would be appropriate for interview always but I could see trousers or skirt with a different jacket.
Not sure on cardigan but would love to see pictures.
Try to really look at the details - jewelry, shoes, etc. as demonstrating a great fashion sense will help convince the interviewer you can sell their clothes.
Best of luck!

Hi Everyone,

I am interviewing this coming Thursday at Ann Taylor Loft for a Sales position and am not sure what to wear! I would like to wear something less formal than a skirt suit or pants suit. I think that a skirt suit or a pants suit would definitely make me overdressed. I was thinking trouser pants with a collared button up shirt or a blouse and cardigan; or a pencil skirt with a collared button up shirt or blouse and cardigan. I could post some pictures if you would like. Any ppinions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
