In my case, it's not actually the ankle strap I take issue with, so much as combination of&nbsp;the ankle strap, and the very similar toe strap. For some reason it looks disconcertingly choppy to me. <b>However,</b> I do not think that these are terribly stumpifying, or that they make your legs less shapely, or anything like that. So, they're not my style, but they certainly don't make you look awful. I can't bring myself to wear skinny ankle strap flats because they make me feel chained to my shoes. I have been able to wear thicker ankle straps though if there is enough room for movement in walking. Can't tell if they shorten legs unless I see more leg. But I kind of like these. They are not very loose but they sit higher above my ankle. I still need to test the comfort level, but what do you say about the looks? Are they cool or far too much of a leg line cut off to my diminutive inseam? Thanks! </p>
