It depends on the field of course, but not really (for any big one other than fashion, wellness or other creative eivironments!). Concerned about the soft knit, not the colours and pattern mixing, at all. What have you decided?

The pattern mixing looks great! I agree with others that preferred a more structured jacket for day and swap to the cardigan for evening.

I agree with the others that this is a great outfit, but only you know whether it will be suitable for your corporate culture. You might want something more tailored for the day and then this for an evening event that's more social in nature.

I think the pattern mixing is fab! If it is appropriate for your line of business, i say go for it. I've seen women in my old, conservative office dress similarly when taking clients to lunch, etc. Don't know about conferences, but then what is relaxed for my old office may be perfect for a fancy conference elsewhere.

Ok, now I've even confused myself. If you don't wear to the conference, you should definitely wear this somewhere else!

I'm not very brave or knowledgable about pattern mixing, but I think the boldness of the cardigan is probably enough for one outfit...especially a business event.

Have you ever seen anyone else wearing something like this at your business conference? Would guys wear the equivalent? Looks great but business dressy? Not to me.

I'd err on the traditional side and not mix patterns for the meeting, save that for a more casual look. Same with the cardi...

It would really help to have more info about the conference and your work culture. Have you been to one of these types of conferences before, have any insight to how people dress for it?

Echo what everyone else says here. I LOVE the look, but you might want to save it for going out for a meal afterwards or something, and top with a more structured jacket during the day?

I love it but the jacket is a lot of alotness, especially if it is a conservative business setting.

What kind of event? I guess I would lean toward the shoes, dress and a more structured, conservative jacket for business. What is your message? What time of day? Are you buying or selling? Friendly or adversarial? What is the culture?

I love the creative pattern mixing! I think you *could* wear it... but it depends on how dressy the conference actually is. I'm not so concerned about the patterns as I am about whether a knit cardigan would stick out and seem too casual.
If it's a conference where most people will be dressing in business casual wear but not suits, and if you aren't attending in a sales role (which generally calls for being a bit more dressy/conservative), I'd say go for it!
But to play it safe, if you think it's likely to be farther on the dressy side of the spectrum, you could keep the shoes and dress but put on a jacket instead.
