Thank you Kate and Denise! I will return this one and try the M. I don't have much experience with Zara, so your info is super helpful. Denise, thanks for the pics, they really give me a great idea of fit. It never occurred to me when perusing the Zara pics that most of them show the jacket open--and, in my climate, I will never be wearing a puffer unzipped!

Minimalist, I may follow your lead! (I didn't even realise there's a Zara Men, which shows how little I know about the company.)

Thanks for that sizing reference, CocoLion.

This is why my only Zara items are ...ZaraMen.

I tried both an S and an M. For reference, I am almost always a size 4 / size S. Occaisionally an XS occasionally an M. For Zara I'm usually a size M, or 36 or 38. In this jacket, S was snug around the chest. M is good and what I kept. I have a thread about it with pictures.http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....yay-or-nay

Yep, Zara sizing is all over the place this season. I tried on the Angie puffer and found I needed an XL instead of my regular M. However, sizing up two sizes gave me an excellent fit in this jacket. So go for it! The collar was too high for my short-necked self, otherwise it would have gone home with me.

Thanks for the wisdom, Suz!

I was also debating the red, but I have a lot of red in my skin tone so tend to shy away from that colour. I'm not entirely sure of the toffee with my grey hair. (Wish I could post a pic, but we have "mood lighting" at home and I leave and return when there's no natural light!)

I have not tried this puffer (though I am tempted by the red.)

What I do know is that Zara sizing seems less consistent than ever. I used to be a solid S in Zara jackets but these days it is anyone's guess. And Massimo Dutti (sister company with similar sizing) is like this also -- my leather moto from them is a Medium. I fit the Small but the one I tried was defective and they had no others in store, and I decided I preferred the layering room that the medium offered.

Why not return and order S and M to see?

For those of you who tried on or purchased the Zara short puffer/anorak: Did you size way up? The online fit advisor put me in an XS based on my height and weight, but I ordered a S because I wanted room for a jumper underneath. However, even the S is too fitted with anything except a tee underneath and it's too snug across the bust.

I'm also wondering about quality: The one I received flares out at the bottom on one side but turns in on the other side, and the zip is crooked. Have others noticed finishing issues like these? Otherwise, the material, style, and lining are as gorgous as Angie says!

Did I just get a lemon? Should I try for a medium?
