It’s not that old though, and in perfect condition. It’s beautifully made and a complete costume piece. It didn’t look like that when I got it. It was longer, had a few more strands of pearls and did not twist. I had it shortened, sized to scale for my frame and “doctored” it with pliers in my own kitchen! It’s my favourite pearl necklace. A true signature piece that comes out 3 - 4 times a year. It would be hard to duplicate. The pearls are different sizes and the perfect colour and weight. </p> <p>I own the AT chunky pearl necklace and continue to love wearing it. I have several versions of necklaces that look like this too – some bigger and chunkier. They aren't real - not at that price - but they look great and are very well made. That is my speculation after stumbling into that shop in Paris. They specialized in custom-made pieces. Basically you could pick your pearls - color size etc - and tell them exactly what you wanted. </p> <p>Otherwise, my second guess is it's a designer piece. There's a place near my house that sells designer knock-offs. They had a necklace that looked a lot like it. The clerk told me the designer, but I forget.
