I do not see you as completely Chanel. There is such a modern and edgy look to your current style, classic Chanel with no bright color or pattern color is what I think would have been a challenge. It would have been interesting to see how you maintain your own look. I also think your modern hair and specs would have been interesting to incorporate into the look. i just watched Devil Wears Prada again and love the Chanel outfits they put on Anne Hathaway, many not like what you ordinarily wear. There are so many times that I see an outfit of Angie's and think "Oh, that feels very Chanel" anyway, so I figured it wouldn't be very challenging. </p> <p>I actually think the "channelling a designer" idea is something that would be a great forum-wide challenge. If things ever get slow around here (not likely) we could start a thread where everyone states their favourite designer and posts an outfit inspired by that designer. Visually I could even make it interesting for the blog post – thank you Maya for remembering that point in the previous thread. But it would have been even MORE interesting meeting this challenge with three completely different outfits, channeling the spirit of the style of the cities in question, but staying true to MY style. </p> <p>So a global challenge it is! Very nice! My top five cities in the world in no particular order are:</p> <p>1. Hong Kong<br /> 2. Cape Town<br /> 3. London<br /> 4. Amsterdam<br /> 5. New York</p> <p>Tel Aviv makes my Top 10 list. Paris probably makes my top 20 list. Milan does not feature. So this is what I’d like to do: I’ll take a city from three different continents – HK and London, and I’ll throw in Tel Aviv because the style there is very “un-Angie” and I couldn’t look less Israeli if I tried. That way, I’ll be doubly challenged. Let me know if you’re happy with that. </p> <p>Okay, so now I’ll let the cat out of the bag. My absolutely favourite challenge was the one that Jean proposed. This would hands down have given me the most joy: </p> <p>o “Coco Chanel, any era. I know it is right up her alley but I think she would pull out all the stops. I would love to see what she creates”.</p> <p>Second was San's suggestion of: </p> <p>o “It would be amazing to see Angie dressed to the nines as if she is going to the Oscars. It would also be fun to see Angie in a hip hop street look or channel an entertainer”. </p> <p>Third was Ele’s”</p> <p>o “I would LOVE to see Angie do something very directional. Sort of a runway/realway thing”.</p> <p>I’m glad that we’re leaving out the Autumn trends for now. This will automatically be covered through the blog post over the next 6 months and I’ll model some of the trends too. As for the designers, that challenge could have been fun too if it was someone I liked, like Chanel, Prada, Chloe, Dries van Noten, Donna Karen and Vera Wang. </p> <p>And now for the surprises: no challenges on getting all dressed up (bar the one from San). Interesting. No mention of the word vintage and no mention of raiding Greg’s closet. Also interesting. </p> <p>Well ladies, thanks for the input.
