The denim jacket looks good. This looks like a "pants length" jacket, yes? A longer length jacket with a skirt is going to be a bit more tomboyish-easy, a shorter length would be more traditionally flattering and often read a bit more feminine as well. Really depends on the vibe you're after. You can also push the sleeves up for a little added sass. She has worn high-impact color and prints but still l looks so polished and approachable.  I have some ideas of how to challenge myself in the coming weeks, but for now I will shamelessly copy our fearless leader.</p> <p>Denim Jacket: Thrifted from the GAP.  I have not owned a denim jacket in recent years.  I always feel like a midwestern girl when I wear them (possibly because i was/am).  I decided it wouldn't hurt to try this inexpensive option and I'm realizing that mixed with the right pieces a denim jacket can work for me.  I also like the idea of finding a "gritty" mixed media piece like Angie's jacket.</p> <p>Tuleh woven silk skirt:  I LOVE wearing this skirt!</p> <p>Striped crop top: JCP - no retail stone unturned, people!  </p> <p>Black pointy flats: Cole Haan</p> <p>Lilac Bag: Perlina from the Rack</p> <p>Apart from the top, all of these piece are getting heavy use this summer.  Go team wear!  Also, I'm starting to think lilac is a neutral.</p> <p>All feedback welcome!  Thoughts on adjusting the proportions?  Shorter top, longer skirt?  I probably won't make any changes, but good to know for future shopping. </p>
