For animal prints, I'd personally prefer the entire shoe to be animal printed. I had told myself that I was going to find a pair of fun shoes this winter. It was the leopard that actually caught my eye first on the website, but now that I've had them both on, it is the red pair that make me smile and feel fab. I can see myself wearing the red shoes with my black dress and polka dot hose to a Christmas party. The leopard just don't have the same "kick" as the red.... so that is what I'm going with. I do still want to find a fab pair of animal print shoes though... The berry shoe strikes me as more playful and party-ish, and the leopard more elegant and sassy. I think it depends on whether or not you have another colored/elegant shoe in this category. I would worry they would be less versatile than I would think they should be. So, I suppose I'd try them on with lots of outfits and just check they'd be as versatile as you want.
