They are polyester, so too warm much of the year. But are easy to care for and pack. I like the navy and white stripe best. They hang in the closet with other long sleeved basic tops. I went up a size from XS to S for a bigger loose fit. It still gives a good fit under jackets and such . A wardrobe basic that makes many other items work in these cold months.</p>
