It's got a more uniform and darker finish than the regular ones (I think). I haven't ever seen the normal black ones in person. The black smooth even look a little dressy (well, for Docs). The leather is rather stiff, I need to break them in. And when I sit down, the top of the boot digs into the back of my knee, and they gap at the top, which is why they need to be shortened about an inch. It has an asymmetrical neckline that I think is really interesting (you can't see it in that particular photo). That's what I wore to the Nordstrom Rack opening here in Austin. The store was pretty picked over by the time we got there, so I will wait a few weeks and head back to see what the place is really like. The jeans from the outfit with the Raybans and white denim jacket were swapped from Danja, and the cheeta print ballet flats are from Tanya. :)</p> <p>My tall Doc Marten boots arrived today as well. I'm really excited! I ordered the black. They are about 3/4" too tall, so I am going to see if I can get them shortened, because otherwise, they are perfect!</p> <p>Comments or suggestions are definitely welcome! Thank you everyone! </p>
