Maybe the black hose is more tonal and creates a nice flow for the eye. I tend to layer over my shorter sleeve tunics is I need warmth. I prefer the nude hose over the black, and push the sleeves up to echo the skin there (though the black looks good with the sleeves down). As for the layering, I would personally either make it looks <i>layered</i> layered (like what you did, but with boots and and a giant scarf), suck it up and have cold arms, or just leave it for transitional weather. I can't even call what I wore a FFBO, it's really just a FBO, as everything except the shoes is a few years old.
