Mine is an inexpensive drugstore version because unfortunately the blond they have on offer is much too warm for me (I had trouble finding the right pencil too). But I love the clear one. The hairs of my brows are already pretty dark and I think it just fills in or thickens them enough that they look like themselves but more so. The overall effect is a strong medium to dark brown. I hope this is helpful. It's a mixed bag for me -- sometimes too heavy on the worship of beautiful young things....but anyway, it can provide an interesting take on beauty products. I like her "Top Shelf" interviews, each of which is basically an interview with someone in fashion/beauty about which products she uses, and occasionally that someone is a woman of a certain age. Can be interesting.</p> <p>Well, they've started a product line, Glossier. I've tried exactly one product, and it's a total winner. It's called "Boy Brow" and it's like a little mascara wand that you use on your brows. It brushes and shapes your brows while depositing just the right amount of color onto them. I use the brown, and I am loving the natural but somewhat heightened definition this product is providing.
