It's good to know that these fragrances don't come across as overly heavy and perhaps don't last that long - I actually like that! <br /><br />There was another citrusy cologne that I liked years ago, it was called "Aromatonic" by Lancome - and it was one of those lighter formulations, described as an 'energizing body treatment fragrance.' Alas, it's been discontinued. :(<br /><br />I will try the Blackberry and Bay one in the fall, as you suggest. I see they have several fragrances to choose from. Lime &amp; basil! Grapefruit! How fun :)<br /><br />I suspect I'll like the Jo Malone Vetyver as well. <br /><br />I am going on vacation in two weeks, and it's also funny (in a way) that the catalogue is appropriately titled, 'Vacation Nation'. Perfume addicts complain that Jo Malone scents lack complexity or wear off too soon, but those are exactly what I like about them. I often layer them-- currently loving 4711 and Jo Malone Vetyver together--and like the fact that, unless someone stands extremely close, the scent is almost undetectable. And the counter is usually very good with samples, which are great for trying out the scents and also for travel. Get a sample of Blackberry and Bay, delicious for Fall. Always assumed "citrus" was lemon or lime....<br /><br />I *love* anything citrus. I normally tend to go for these citrusy, green-ish scents, but this time - the Jo Malone insert in the latest Nordstrom catalogue isn't all that 'green' smelling, and despite this, for some reason - I really <i>loved</i> the smell of the "Nectar Blossom and Honey" fragrance sample. <br /><br />As I write, I realize that "nectarine" is also a citrus smell, so this isn't such a surprise after all.<br /><br />This is a sweet-ish cologne, but it's so pretty that I cannot help but order it and get going on the rest of my Nordstrom wish list. <br /><br />I just thought it was intriguing that a fragrance could get me to decide to order. I've been meaning to order for eons, and might never have gotten around to it - and it's this Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom &amp; Honey fragrance insert in a catalogue that came in my mailbox that's prompting me to place my order. <br /><br />It's interesting how a real catalogue in my regular mail box, complete with a pretty fragrance sample is more effective than umpteen online ads, e-mails and the like. It's <i>sweet</i>, but at the same time - it's an elegant sweet, not a cloying sweet. <br /><br />It's so lovely that I'm going to order tomorrow - get my Nordstrom wish list cleared off and get some of this beautiful cologne. <br /><br />Have to say, this is the first time that a fragrance insert in a catalogue or magazine has prompted me to hurry up and order already. Does this seem silly? That some fragrance in a catalogue is what motivates me to finally order up all the stuff I've been wanting to order for awhile now?<br /><br />Funny, what works to get me moving.
