I wear them to shovel snow and sledding with the kids. I have a pair of non warm rubber boots that I wear when it's wet and muddy, but not cold. The first brands I would look at is Aquatalia or LC, or another warm and/or waterproof brand that is made with good traction and winter wear. Wearing such high heels on ice sounds like a death wish to me, but that could just be my own aversion to very high heels. But I still need to be concerned with how I could walk in them if there is ice underfoot. As there is ALWAYS ice underfoot from December til March.
