However, I sense as I read your thread, that you have your doubts. If I'm right about that, hang on until you find a sandal that you really LOVE, not a compromise (and remember the season's half over, so unless you live somewhere where Autumn comes very late, you'd get just six-eight weeks wear of these, max.) With your Mohops being so convertible, it seems like you can get through your Florida stay without gladiators if you need to... it just seems a shame to buy something you don't love and won't love years down the line since you'll be going back to CA soon. They would be inexpensive options that if they only last this season, would be fine. They don't hit quite as high on the ankle as the Ash. My BF isn't a huge fan of gladiators in general, thinking they make me look like an Egyptian slave girl.
