As others have said, the fit looks perfect. I know how hard it is not to psych yourself into thinking something is wrong because it's not "your" size. And I know how it is always being between sizes -- so frustrating and time consuming.

I have the same problem. If a size 6-8 petite isn't available (tops and dresses), I have to choose between a 6 and an 8. For pants, I have to choose between 4P and 6P.

The size is perfect on you. There is NO NEED to go up a size. It is not too tight at all. It seems to hang perfectly.

I like the size you are wearing. Great sweater. I like oversized but as Approprio says the fit and drape needs to work perfectly. My shoulders are mini and I find that look hard to carry off.

Size looks good to me. It's a lovely sweater.

Speaking as a lover of all things oversized, I say don't size up unless you're 100% happy with the fit and drape. If it makes you feel lost, it's probably because the fit and/or proportion is off on the shoulders.

It's at the point where I always order an XS and a S of every top I buy online and return one, because there's just no telling.

Now I have a dilemma (I know, I always have dilemmas, and I'm always turning to you all for decisions). I splurged on this beautiful sweater from Aritzia. It only comes in two sizes, XXS/XS and S/M. And of course XS/S would be perfect on me...

I tried on the larger one in the store. It had a cool avant garde look but the sleeves were too long and I worried I might be a bit lost in it. So they ordered me the smaller one, and I just can't decide if this is great or if I should exchange it. The sleeves are the right length! It fits! I think it's good but I'm having a crisis of confidence, because it was so expensive by my standards.

Photos are of the smaller size. The store is now sold out of the larger size so I couldn't do a direct comparison. The model wears the larger size on the website, and I think it looks a little looser and slouchier, but maybe this small one is better for my height?

I can tell fall is here because I'm suddenly excited about so many things I see in stores. I really haven't shopped much of late, until the past few weeks, and now I'm worried I'm going to overdo it. A fall shopping plan and budget are sorely needed!
