It's hard for me to judge fit because really all it is is a drapey piece of fabric with holes for the arms, if you know what I mean, but my guess is that I could have gone a size down if it were available (I don't think they made an XS). The arm holes were a bit big and overall there is just a lot of fabric and I have to position it just right to keep it from falling off my shoulders. If anything I would guess they are a bit on the large side, but like I said--mine is drapey and voluminous.
