When I lived in Seattle, I used Trish Jens, http://pajenscustomsewing.com/. She's in the Bryant neighborhood, close to the Metropolitan Market.

I have just taken inventory of all of my summer tops and realized that they're all too big and blousy in the waist area. I think the problem is that I buy shirts to fit my wide shoulders, but they end up too big everywhere else.

My questions are, one, does it work to have shirts altered so that they're not so blousy and two, does anyone have an alterations person (with a sense of style) they recommend in Seattle?

TIA!
