I was just worried about the shorter pair you linked because I thought I read in a blog that mid-calf boots tend to visually cut your leg in half and thereby making them look shorter. I am just so confused about what boots look good with skinnies. I have 4 pairs of skinny pants that I've never worn out of the house because I don't know what shoes to wear with them. I'd like to get some boots that will be the most flattering on my size 10 bod. with skinnies, but still can be worn under boot-cuts because that's what I wear all the time. My boots might be slouchier than the others posted because I can't get them to stand up on their own, so measuring was a bit challenging. Instead of measuring all the way around, I measured it laying down, like its folded in half. Hope this helps. Maybe others can add their measurements too.</p> <p>ankle --- 10.5"-11"<br /> mid-calf --- 14"<br /> top --- 15" (buckled on smallest setting)</p> <p>I have size 8.5. I wear an 8 or 8.5 depending on the shoe. I wonder if someone who actually owns a pair of these (in an 8 would be ideal) could actually measure the calf width for me? I'm not uncomfortable with that height of boot, but some people are. I'd love the Slate but it's not in stock anywhere (I tried Vintage Brown in 2 sizes, Charcoal and Dark Distressed Brown)..
