tight tight tight...no size inflation here. i'm c1's size and order similar sizing to her. i've ordered a tailored vest in a uk 10 just so i can close it over my belly. also not for the short waisted.

i have the white studded leather vest, which i love love love, in a uk 8, again a bit too long, but i'm willing to live with it because i love the style and it makes me feel rocker chic and a bit of a badass.

I own two tops in UK size 10, and a jacket in UK size 8. The *measurements* on the size chart seem correct, but the size conversions seem way off. For reference, I usually wear a size 2 button-front shirt from Ann Taylor, XS jacket from Ben Sherman, almost always a size 38 in Italian sizing. I haven't tried AllSaints bottoms, so I can't say about those.

They are pricey for what they are - not really high quality, but not F21 either. I just hardly ever see any other brands with their particular style, though. Maybe we should start a thread to see if anyone has ideas about that...

Suz: the jacket is a very dark navy, not black. Unfortunately I don't think it works very well with jeans, as it's quite cropped. It's mostly for dresses and skirts. To be very honest though, I kind of wish I had returned the jacket as the neckline doesn't go with a lot of the shirts I have...though I may find it more useful later. Perhaps if I pair it with a pencil/straight skirt it'll work as a semi-suit? (not that I have need for suits right now, but I may need them in 1-2 years...)

Yes, that was exactly what appealed to me, Una, when I saw them. Basics, but basics with a difference!

Would you say the quality of the tailored clothes is not great? Because it seems nuts to order if I could find something comparable that I could actually try on. I suspect I'd be okay with that jacket, but the skirt is very iffy...and then I don't want an orphan jacket. Yes, I could wear the jacket with jeans, for sure, but it would be nice to pair it with skirts, too.

Also, CrazyOne, is "midnight" black or dark navy? Hard to tell on screen.

Thank you!

*cowering* Sorry, Suz!

I don't actually own that much from Allsaints - I'm more of a coveter than a purchaser. I have a dress, a tunic, and two sweaters, all bought on sale over the past two years. One item I returned because it was just not great quality, and some others just didn't fit.

I second C1... Sizing is quite random and runs small IMHO. The tailoring items in particular have not worked out for me, sadly, as they have that edge I'd like in my work clothing.

C1 that is super helpful. I'm about an inch taller and 5 pounds heavier so probably need to be the 4 at minimum. Sadly, the skirt only comes in the 2. So I still wonder if it could be let out. My hips are actually between sizes. Hmmm....

Suz, I actually bought that jacket--I have the US Size 4 (UK 8). It fits on me, but it's fairly tight. I'm 5 ft3 and weigh about 110 pounds and am somewhat pear shaped, so AllSaints definitely runs small. Based on my all saints experience (I also have a dress from them), I'd probably buy a US size 6 on the bottom for myself, though a 4 might also work. I don't think a size 2 would work for me and I generally wear size 0/2 in most American stores.

Suz, are you easily swayed?

Just kidding. That is one great jacket, and I bet it would look fab on you. Sorry, I don't know about sizing.

Blame Una for this.

Now she's got me scouring that Archive.

And wow wow wow.

Can anyone tell me how the sizing runs? Are the measurements they give in the measurement guide accurate? If you buy a tailored piece, is there any room for letting out a bit, should it end up being a touch snug? (I assume it can be adjusted in...for a price, which I'm hoping to avoid!)

I'm really interested in the Heta Hunting jacket and the pencil skirt that goes with it. But that skirt only comes in a 2 and if the measurements they give are accurate and there's no room for let out, it would be a major let down. http://www.us.allsaintsarchive.....jg016-1364

I have never seen All Saints in real life. Any words of wisdom welcome!
