(I was just showing you my purchase of the black ones!) I have a pair of black booties with cutouts. I don't mind wearing them with black socks because it's not really obvious that I am wearing socks. I'm not trying to make it part of my look...I just don't want my feet to get cold in the winter! This is one of those styles that as soon as I saw it I knew it was me. Black- check. Good heel height- check. Enough detail to be interesting- check. All 3 pairs are going back. A pair of low heeled white leather from VC Signature were too narrow. I know I've tried at least one other from that line and it was also too narrow so I think I need to give up on those. The second one was a pewter leather. They fit fine in the foot but they looked too sparkly and they were very wide at the ankle. I often wear pants out over ankle boots and I don't like when they catch on a gappy boot. The third pair is a light cognac suede ankle boot. They were also too narrow. So all of those are going back to Last Call.  Finally, a question. I still want to find something in the camel/nude/cognac range. I do have a deep brown boot. I was thinking that a cage bootie would be an almost year round style for me IF I could wear socks with it (which I don't really need until November or so.)  I'm thinking of something like the one in photo 2 as an example. What do you think? Would you wear socks with these?
